APE seems to work fine w/ inkjet powered on/off as needed, so is there anything in APE that makes it want to see the same printer every time? IOW does whatever software thingamajig you do when setting up an APE based printer on a network client somehow set something in the APE to only recognize that printer until something else happens to set it otherwise? A USB hub would be preferable to another USB print server.

It would be more convenient to move labelwriter, plus not have to turn on other mac just to print labels. Currently inkjet is connected to APE, w/ labelwriter shared via host mac in other room. I realize that Apple says only one USB printer on an Airport Express, so what would happen if a USB hub were used so that two printers could be physically plugged in at the same, but only one was actually powered on at any given time? Goal would be to have photo inkjet and labelwriter available on network, but willing to power desired printer on/off as needed.
